Mochi 1 is released under the Apache License, Version 2.0. You may obtain a copy of the license at:

Unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing, software distributed under the License is distributed on an "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or implied.

2. Permissions

Under this license, you are permitted to:

• Use the 10B parameter model for commercial and non-commercial purposes
• Modify and adapt the AsymmDiT architecture
• Distribute modified versions of the software
• Use the model in both private and public deployments
• Integrate the technology into other systems and products

3. Requirements

When using Mochi 1, you must:

• Include a copy of the Apache 2.0 license in any distribution
• Provide appropriate attribution to the original work
• Clearly mark any modifications you make to the code
• Include all original copyright, patent, and trademark notices
• State significant changes made to the original software

4. Technical Usage

The license covers all components of Mochi 1, including:

• The core AsymmDiT architecture
• Video compression VAE
• Prompt processing components
• Interface and API implementations
• Associated documentation and examples

5. Patent License

Each contributor grants you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, no-charge, royalty-free, irrevocable patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer the Work.

6. Disclaimer of Warranty

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and noninfringement.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort or otherwise, arising from, out of or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software.
